The F1743 Expedition is a real departure for Safari Condo. With a huge and heavy roof rack, a heavier duty frame, and larger off-road tires, the trailer moves away from the aerodynamics and efficiency ethos of SC's other models. However, you do gain roof access and more storage, plus a sturdier frame is never a bad idea. 380W of solar and two lithium batteries are standard. And it looks cool! This isn't what I'd call a true off-road trailer: the suspension and ground clearance are still not what they need to be for this to go overlanding. But they are useful changes that will allow safer passage on bush roads and the like, and allow you to boondock for longer. Inside, you have all the goodness of the standard F1743, which is an awesome trailer in it's own right. Of course, you can save 500 pounds and around $5000 dollars by getting the non-Expedition F1743 if the whole off-road styling thing is not your cup of tea.

Yes, we already have a full walkthrough of this trailer on our site and Youtube channel. But Safari Condo made some major changes for 2024, so we took another look! This is our personal trailer, so we have a lot of experience with it. What can we say? We love it! It's still under 2000 pounds in base form, although figure more like 2100 to 2200 pounds by the time you add air conditioning and a few other options. The logo is new and less cartoon like, but the big update is tank sizes: the fresh tank went from 16 to 26 gallons, the grey from 16 to 24 gallons, and the black from 21 to 14 gallons. All in all, we love the idea of bigger tanks, BUT just be aware that more water equals more weight. This trailer is still one of the best combinations in the small travel trailer market of large beds (sleeps 3 or 4 with the optional bunk; 5 in a pinch), tall interior height, and easy towing. And the folding roof is always a conversation starter, so beware that there is a certain celebrity that goes with owning it! It isn't cheap, but the price is in line with competitive trailers, and know that you are getting a unique, quality trailer that holds its value well.
