Indeed, the Cortes Campers 16 and 17 both weigh well over 2000 pounds. Yet all three trailers are the same 18 feet long. The secret is the 18's integrated fiberglass chassis. It has more in common with race cars than with other RV's. Yet the 18 retains the advantages of the 16 and 17: you can have a residential style kitchen and double bed, or a full RV kitchen with a king bed.
